The Proposed new Island 18^th Button Green 2023

We presently have planning in with the Vale to create the island green and hope to have good news by the end of January 2023. A temporary green has been mown out and work has started to ensure it will be puttable whilst the works proceed. We envisage that from start to finish it will take approximately 4-6 weeks and then a further few weeks for the hole to be in play by early June. The length of the hole will be around the same as the old hole with an extension to the white tee allowing us to maintain that length. A fairway bunker on the left of the hole will add a visual feature off the tee as well as making all think of the drive you wish to play as that is the critical shot for this new hole. We will be re-using existing turf off the old green, so the green will be immediately receptive to a shot.

From the clubhouse and patio area we will be landscaping the ground, sloping it down to the new green and water so all will have a bird’s eye view of golfers playing in! this will make the final hole very exciting as well as daunting.

There is a lot of work to do, however, once finished we believe this will be one of the best finishing holes in Wales if not the UK as I am determined to put all my experience into giving you all something to be very proud of and a talking point whilst having a drink and snack after.
