Important Update – 5th October 2022

Dear Members,

New Membership Cards

As from today, we are slowly issuing new membership cards to all our members.  We do ask that next time you are visiting Cottrell Resort to pop into Reception, and we can issue your new card.  There is no rush, this process will be taking place over the next month and if you are away or cannot come to see us, we can replace your card on your next visit.

• Please note that if you misplace your new card, there will be a £5 charge for another to be issued.

General Course Reminders

Pitch Repairing

Now we have had some consistent rain, the greens have softened, and pitch marks are apparent.

Boring, yes, however please do not leave the green without repairing at least one.

Leaving a pitch mark means a scar that can takes days to mend.

Free pitch repairers are available in the pro-shop if you do not have one in your bag.

Bunkers

Don’t be selfish and please think of those behind you and rake the bunkers.  No real excuses now as plenty of rakes, plenty of sand.

I do thank those who do consistently rake the bunkers and report back to us regarding those who do not.

We can’t just blame visitors or societies as often enough after a competition we see for ourselves lots of unraked bunkers.

Preferred Lies

Due to the latest weather, we are now bringing in preferred lies on closely mown areas from Thursday 6^th October.

Winter Wheels

Just a reminder, as always, come the 1^st November, winter wheels are mandatory on all trollies in order to preserve the courses during the Winter Season.
