Important Update – 4th April 2022

Dear All,

On-course toilets return

We have ordered two toilets for the courses which will arrive this week.

Defibrillator

We now have in place a defibrillator, which is located outside the Shop giving access to everyone from opening to closing. The standard will be, when staff are on duty, they will be available to use it if there is an incident. If no staff are available, then there is full access to take it out and the defibrillator will talk you through it.  Please always report if you, as a member, do have to use it as we need to record.

Chef

At last, we have found another chef to assist in the kitchen called Neil.  He will start in a couple of weeks and then we are able to offer a 7-day full menu.

Courses

Overall, the Courses are looking good, however some of the Mackintosh greens are still looking a bit tired after a very wet winter.  Works will continue them, and we hope in a couple of weeks they will be back up to speed.

Turf Iron

We still wait for the delivery of the greens turf iron as there are supply issues from the USA.  As soon as it is on board, then this piece of kit will be constantly used.

Halfway House

The starters hut, which was invaluable for the covid period, is to be moved to the Mackintosh as the new halfway house in the next week.

Season

As we are now going into the season, we all hope you can enjoy your golf and prey we have no more interruptions.

Recruitment

We presently have a vacancy for a person to assist the greens team. This will initially be a seasonal position up to the end of September. If you know of anyone who is looking for this type of work, then please contact the office.

Applicants must have own transport and preferably play golf
