Important Notice - Last Updated 20th December 2020

Due to the latest Welsh Government announcement that all golf courses, hospitality and non-essential shops should closed, we have now closed Cottrell Park Golf Resort until further notice.  There will be no staff on duty to take telephone calls but limited emails, if urgent, will be responded to in the New Year.  We will keep this page regularly updated with all the latest information.  In the meantime, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.




Cottrell Park Policy for Members and Guests when we re-open!

Please read the below rules and new measures we have put in place at Cottrell Park.

We need you to adhere to all the rules, which are in place for yourselves and our staff safety whilst here at Cottrell Park.

These measures will be all subject to change as time and restrictions change.

Please remember to bring your own sanitiser.

Our Pro Shop is open, with refreshments & golf items being sold.  For now, we ask for Members to continue to use contactless payments only.

The wearing of face coverings is now law anywhere within indoor and public spaces, such as the pro-shop golf reception & golf simulators.  We ask that you abide by this law as nobody will be permitted within these areas unless a face covering is worn.

The Marquee bar will now be offering table service and soft drinks and light snacks only.  You will be required to sign a track and trace form on entry to the bar area and will be required to wear a face covering until seated.  A maximum of 4 people can share a table within the same bubble.  A maximum of 30 people can sit outside at any time.

  • Please use our online booking facility to book if you are a member (if you haven’t got your passwords/user names, telephone in for assistance or email Members of staff will be on duty between the hours of 9am -4:30pm to take bookings
  • We do not accept physical booking of tee times in the pro-shop
  • You can now book 1, 2, 3 or 4 ball tee time per slot (please see above on this page for instructions)

Subject to review, please see the following:

  • Tee times available from 7.40am – 3pm
  • Simulators will be open until 5:30pm with the last booking being 5pm
  • Marquee Bar open from 11am- 5:30pm
  • Open 7.30 am daily
  • Do not arrive any sooner than 10 minutes prior to your pre-booked tee time

When checking in at the Starters Hut/ Walking in to the Bar:

  • Always wear a face covering/mask when indoors
  • All payments by contactless means (no cash will be accepted at present)
  • Customers will be discouraged from touching any hard services, equipment etc unless they intend to purchase
  • A limited amount of people in the shop at any one time (2-metre rule applies)
  • 2-metre queue spacing in and out of the shop
  • Fix screening to front counter
  • Table Service in the Bar Area, please sign the track and trace and take a seat to be served
  • Our Marquee bar is open and serving soft drinks
  • Sunday - Spiros Carvery is available between 12-3pm, to make a booking you need to contact Spiros directly on Tel: 02920 494425
  • Face coverings must be worn by all customers until seated
  • We will only accept contactless payments only - NO CASH
  • Table service only
  • This is a lower risk area as it is an outdoor space
  • Where possible, all Members & Visitors, please check in at the 'Starters Hut' which is located in the car park
  • We always ask that you adhere to the social distancing rule
  • Spaces to be left between cars where possible
  • Adhere to the 1 way in and 1 way out system indicated by arrows
  • Members to change shoes etc in car park
  • Winter Wheel Policy only now in place
  • Buggies to be pre-booked by telephone and subject to being allowed out due to weather conditions
  • No forms to fill in - however the Member will be liable for any damage
  • Locker rooms are open.
  • Showers remain out of use until further notice.
  • Limited amount of people at any one time in locker rooms.
  • No items to be left in locker rooms.
  • Lockers are closed from 4.30pm.
  • Face coverings must be worn.
  • Social distancing (2-metre rule applies) throughout the round
  • Always leave the flag in the hole
  • Golfers wipe their own golf balls on their own towel
  • Golfers to carefully remove their own golf ball from the hole
  • Do not share any equipment, such as golf clubs or rangefinders
  • Golfers should only pick up their own ball
  • One Scorecard per tee time if possible
  • Do not shake hands before or after your round
  • Sanitise your hands before and after playing your round
  • Rakes have been removed and local rule applies of a free drop nearest point of relief from feet marks within the bunker
  • Do not look for lost golf balls, drop another ball and keep speed of play going (stroke & distance)
  • Do not touch the flags. Always encourage “give me puts” (Gimmie)
  • Airlines for cleaning shoes are closed
  • Single use of golf buggies unless in the same household
  • Return the buggy to the starters hut where the staff will sanitise
  • Winter Wheels are now in play and all trollies must have these
  • Simulators currently open for a maximum of 30 minutes per use.
  • Maximum of 2 Persons per simulator at any one time.
  • Snooker and pool currently open for a maximum of 1 hour per use.
  • Maximum of 2 Persons in the snooker room at any one time.
  • Limited bins in place.
  • All ball washers are out of use and are covered over.
  • All warning bells are not in use and are covered over. Please be mindful of those playing in front.
  • Face coverings/Masks are now the law and must be worn in any public places apart from outdoors.
  • Tee times will be available from 7.40am – 3pm(subject to review)
  • Simulators will be open until 5:30pm with the last booking being 5pm
  • Bar open from 11am- 5:30pm
