According to the current rules, players can still play a 2 ball game of golf together - and our shop is now back open!

Dear Members,

A further couple of weeks have gone by and all have enjoyed buddying up and caught up with friends over a social game of golf.

The First Minister has just announced more relaxations to restrictions, and disappointingly not in golf, so we must all continue as two balls for now until further announcements. So, to confirm, max of 2 households per tee time.

Thank you for adhering to the guidelines during the restrictions, which at times I am sure are frustrating, however the safety measures are paramount to all.

Also mentioned was that retail can re-open, hence we are now selling refreshments and critical items for golf. For now, we ask for members to continue to use contactless payments.

As reported on the last update, we are delighted that the Membership is full, apart from just one or two spots on 7-day full Membership category.  Cottrell Park welcomes all new Members and I am confident as more normality returns, they will see what a great Club we have, both on and off the courses.

We have taken on quite a few from St Marys, who have already made their mark with Martin Brown having a hole in one last week, so congratulations. Shame the bar was closed, LOL.

Finally, as golf tries to return to the new norm, we must not forget the virus is still out there and we should all be mindful and be careful. Away from the golf we continue to thank all who are caring for those who are and have suffered.

Please stay safe and enjoy your golf.
